What will we do? Choose from any of these activities.
1. Insect Character Design
Learn to create your own unique insect character! After a brief introduction to Three Bee Honey and its creation, participants will illustrate a bug-style self-portrait while exploring the core elements of character design. (40-60 minutes, ages 6-12, small or large groups)
2. Design your OWN Wizard
Bring some magic into your art. Participants will learn about character design as well as wizard archetypes. Through a draw-along, they will design their very own, one-of-a-kind wizard character to take home. (40-60 minutes, ages 6-12, small or large groups)
3. Narrative Zine-Making Workshop
Make your very own zine! Participants will draft a short personal narrative and turn it into a six-page mini-zine built around a central theme. (60 minutes, ages 13+, small or large groups)
4. The Path(s) to Publishing
Publishing a comic or a graphic novel is not for the faint of heart. The good news? There’s more than one way to do it. Learn more about what it takes to get your stories out into the world. (60 minutes, upper high school and college, small or large groups)
